A walk-through of the process behind our Antique Barn Addition

A big “Thank You” to Jim Byrne for creating this video with his talent. Also, a big “Thank You” to our team for their talent and hard work to make this all possible. We are very blessed.

Please see Antique Barn Addition on our website for more photos and descriptions of the process of saving this local and antique structure and adding it to a house of almost the exact age only a few miles down the same road!

Custom Timber Frame Home Design and Building in Progress

The concept for this home is to bring both the early American Arts and Crafts and Traditional Timber Framing specialties together to create a unique and timeless family camp in the Berkshires to be enjoyed for generations. The project brings local materials and craftsmen together in hopes of leaving a positive and lasting impression on the built environment of the Berkshires. A special thanks to our clients who value craftsmanship and quality and have made this awesome project possible.

Historic Timber Frame Sill and Joist Repairs

The stone foundation was dismantled and the rotten sills were removed and scarfed to receive new material. New locally-sourced and rot-resistant white oak sills were scarfed to the structurally sound remaining portions. The three damaged joists were replicated and replaced. The masons can now rebuild the walls beneath the sills.
